Studio to Stage... Joshua C. Love Returns

After a year of building, crafting, shaving and not shaving, Joshua C. Love has compiled a collection of 13 songs which will be released this August and September in the form of 2 EPs. Why not just one big album? There are two very careful approaches to the dynamics of the EPs that represent both the internal and external dialogues of the mind. Mirage is a more delicate display of how fragile the mind is, maneuvering through the contours of doubt, certainty, and the many forms of love and mystery. While the second EP, Strange, embodies the more dictatorial nature of our creative selves, it explores the hungry creatures within, the need for animal instinct and the prowess of the beast.

The album artwork is a collaboration between Michal Pachniewski, Du Kun, Chen Duxi and Joshua C. Love. Each song has its own artwork and was carefully designed by Du Kun in Chengdu, China. The production of the short story/music video for Strange will be filmed on the weekend of August 17-19th in Salem, Ontario by Director Lance Fernandes and Production Designer Kat Threlkeld. If you are interested in being an extra for the shoot, please contact us here.

Both EPs were recorded in Toronto at BTS (Butterfly Temples Studio) and Aldith Studio (underneath Danforth Barbers), produced and mixed by Joshua C. Love and mastered at APS Mastering [NYC] by Alex Saltz (Deer Tick , The Glad Machine, Vampire Weekend). Sonically the most vibrant and mature album from PB yet, there will be no room for disappointment from this array of stories and sounds.

Mirage will be released on August 31st and Strange will be released on September 11th on all digital platforms listed:

Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes, Google Play/YouTube, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Tidal, Napster, iHeartRadio, ClaroMusica, Saavn, Anghami, KKBox, MediaNet.
